Fairly poor start of the season for Pierre Kaffer The first meeting of the international German Formula 3 Championship did not go as expected for Pierre Kaffer. The favourite for the title could not impress and ended up ninth and fourth. With the third-fastest time in the free practice there was a hope for starting on the front row of the grid. But in both qualifyings setup problems braked Pierre down. Although Pierre was stopped several times by slower competitors on the only 2.6 kilometer long circuit of Hockenheim.
