Pierre Kaffer with second season victory With his second season victory and a fourth place, Pierre Kaffer continued his successfull season in the international German formula 3 championship. In the championship he is now five points behind the Japanese Toshihiro Kaneishi on the second position. In the first heat Kaffer was breaked down by setup problems on his Dallara-Honda. So after a perfect start he dropped back from first to fourth. In the second run on sunday he could keep the lead to the chequered flag. "It was a great race. Yesterday I had bad luck, but today I was lucky. We changed something at the setup, which improved the car a lot", Pierre said about his second win of the season. 21.05.2001
